Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your HAMI Voice account and the personal data associated with it at any time.

This page describes how to request deletion. It does not require you to be signed in. If you can sign in, the in-app option is the fastest path.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)

  1. Sign in to HAMI Voice at app.hami-voice.com.
  2. Open Settings → Account.
  3. Choose Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Your account is then scheduled for deletion. You will receive a confirmation email. There is a short grace period during which you can cancel the deletion by signing in again — after that, your account and associated personal data are removed.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in (for example, you have lost access to your email account or are no longer with the team that registered the account), email us at support@hami-voice.com from the email address associated with your account, and include:

  • Your full name as registered on the account
  • The email address registered on the account
  • A short statement that you are requesting deletion of your account and personal data

We may need to verify your identity before processing the request. We will confirm the deletion by email once complete.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, the following personal data is removed from our systems:

  • Account and profile data (name, email, profile image, password hash)
  • Survey templates you authored
  • Survey sessions and responses you created
  • Photos, signatures, and voice transcripts captured against your sessions
  • Voice audio recordings (where the optional audio log was enabled — these are also auto-deleted by S3 lifecycle after 14 days regardless)
  • AI Template Builder source documents you uploaded
  • Operational logs that identify you (subject to the retention periods in the Privacy Policy)

What may be retained

Where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, we may retain:

  • Billing and invoicing records (where applicable) for the period required by UK tax and accounting law
  • Aggregated, anonymised usage statistics that do not identify you
  • Backups of the database for up to 30 days, after which the deleted data is no longer recoverable

Team accounts

If you are a member of a team but not the team owner, deleting your account removes you from the team. Survey content authored by the team remains with the team unless the team owner also deletes their account.

If you are the team owner, deleting your account removes the team and all team-owned content (templates, sessions, photos, signatures, audio).

Timeline

  • Account deletion request received — immediate acknowledgement
  • Account scheduled for deletion — placed into a grace period during which you can cancel
  • Account deleted — at the end of the grace period (or immediately if requested via support email and identity is verified)
  • Database backups purged — within 30 days of deletion
